I’m a multidisciplinary designer, artist, and insatiably curious patron of all things creative. Born in LA, I grew up in the high desert where I spent much of my time making art and mixtapes. Right after high school, I studied audio engineering, but after working as a runner at a recording studio, I realized that the traditional path of working your way up in a studio was quickly fading with the industry’s rapid changes. I then decided to channel my creative energy into visual arts, such as graphic design.
I studied both graphic and interactive design at The Art Institute, earning degrees in both, because two complementary Associate’s degrees should equal one Bachelor’s degree, right? Okay, maybe not on paper, but it served me well. It helped me to develop a more holistic design skillset, exercising both conceptual and analytical thinking. As a result, I’ve since had a broad range of experiences that include advertising and product interfaces. I also dove into coding and learned HTML and CSS, and gained a basic understanding of programming logic. While I quickly realized that I am not a programmer at heart, this has helped me to work with developers on scalable design solutions that can be built within their constraints.
