Product Design / UI & UX Design
eSIMple is a new app by Boingo that provides global data roaming coverage without the usual roaming fees.
UI/UX, Website Design
Website redesign that incorporated SEO strategy and aimed to solve complex UI and UX problems by creating a single site structure for multiple school franchise websites. Adapted art direction from print campaign to website layout.
Product Design: UI/UX + Design System
Boingo provides Wi-Fi in various venues, such as airports and stadiums. As venues differ in branding and business requirements, we were often tasked with designing custom Wi-Fi connection portal interfaces for venues with needs beyond our existing template. This often extended design and development resources, so we knew there must be a better way. I was asked to design a new template that would work across all venues, so I proposed a modular template solution. To solve for a wide variety of requirements in one template system, I proposed we create a library of modular components that could be enabled or disabled through a content management system. Venue branding would be customized through a simple background image change, button colors, venue logos and sometimes background colors. I then created a design system that would establish consistency in the way that future modules are designed. The Modular Connection Portal has since become a valuable strategic asset to Boingo’s business.

Graphic Design
At Boingo, we design all of our promotional items, whether for clients or internal gifts. Most notably, I’ve designed holiday chocolates for clients, and the company lettermen jacket with enamel pins to commemorate employee work anniversaries.

Brand Development + Graphic Design
Boingo provides Wi-Fi to service members on military bases, which was a unique opportunity to customize our marketing and branding for a very specific audience. Over time as we got to know this audience more, we shifted the focus of the product to better fit their needs, and re-developed the marketing and design language to fit with new messaging.
An illustration system based on Boingo’s icon system, created for the corporate website.
Environmental Graphic Design
In 2015, Boingo moved into a new two-floor office space. Gensler designed the construction of the space, and Boingo’s internal creative team designed the environmental branding and signage.
My role in this project included the “SPIRIT” wall, the company history timeline, and facilities signage.

UX & UI Design
The first-phase redesign of the subscription sales experience for Boingo Wi-Fi on military bases. The old experience offered customers three products: Internet, TV, or Combo (both internet and TV). Since TV subscriptions were very low, we decided to offer it as an add-on for Internet subscribers. In the new experience, customers first select an internet plan based on their preferred speed, then they have the option of upgrading device limits and adding TV service.
